about

"We Move" is taken from the forthcoming LP release from Melbournes S:Bahn.
The song is a disection of a fading relationship, driven by S:Bahn's trademark brawling guitars and seismic rhythm section.
"Queen of Diamonds" (the bands 2nd Album) will be available from Polaks Records in February.

lyrics

WE MOVE

The illusion of progress, sensation of movement
against a background of rust, the slow decay of trust
Empty gesture of kindness, the impression of care
against a background of rust, the half-life of us

[ we move, we move, we move ]

The reassurance of distance, the caress of escape
against a background of rust, and badly timed lust
The deceptions of memory, all the confusions of time
against a background of rust, excuses gathering dust

[ we move, we move, we move ]

She said: well youre not making any sense
youre so scared, youre just standing still
when motion is all that matters
he said: Im telling you the truth, just
some events are out of sequence
motion is all that matters

The distractions of process, its consumpton of days
against a background of rust, words never said
resignation to history, a reliance on fate
against a background of rust, grey yesterdays wait.

she said: well youre not making any sense
youre so scared, youre just standing still
when motion is all that matters
he said: Im telling you the truth, but
some events are out of sequence
motion is all that matters
motion is all that matters
motion is all that matters
and you could be with anyone
and you couldve ended up anywhere
Im telling the truth
but events are out of sequence.
